Give students a gift that will last a lifetime with Global Classmates
Designed especially for schools, our Global Classmates program offers your students the opportunity to form a friendship with a student across the world while gaining global perspective and building character.
Our program supports educators in enriching their curricula
By providing educators with lessons that foster empathy and knowledge around global issues, Global Classmates raises global awareness, develops key character traits and provides opportunities to serve others. As students correspond with their new friend, they have opportunities to develop their critical thinking and problem-solving skills as they read and write letters, participate in activities and raise awareness within their school environment.
Since its inception in 2019, the Global Classmates program has grown to just under 500 sponsored friends with over 40 school partners across 14 states in the U.S.
Easy-to-use resources for teachers
We can help your students learn and develop a curiosity about other people and places through our lessons, fun activities and videos for all grade levels in a variety of subjects including foreign language, English language arts, math and social studies.
As a participating school in Global Classmates, resources to help with curriculum and lesson planning will be shared on an ongoing basis.

Supporting your sponsorship
Choose the best way to contribute the $40 monthly cost to sponsor your students’ new friend.
- • Each child in the class can give a small amount.

- • A school can host a fundraiser — Unbound has some fun ideas!
- • An individual, business or church organization can be an “angel donor.”
