Hope blooms from friendship between a sponsor and sponsored friend

Health advocate and sponsor Kelly Williams formed a lasting friendship through letters with Carlos, an adult with special needs in Mexico, and her support has contributed to his continued health and well-being while helping him realize his dream of starting a plant nursery.

With support from Unbound's Scholarship Program, Bremer, 22, is one step closer to realizing his dream of working in the health industry. The middle child of five siblings raised by a single mother, Bremer is in his third year of studying pharmacy at Mount Kenya University and hopes to one day help in developing medicines that combat pandemics.
